Indian youth and Happiness

A survey has placed Indian youth among the happiest in the world.

What are the factors that makes the youth happy?

its contentment with our lot in life alongwith the social life i.e. a family around for moral support, religion etc which keeps Indians happy.

why any youth is at the peak of happiness? the fact that they have the strength and stamina and will to do crazy stuff. You will rarely see a 50 year old go skydiving... Being young is always the key factor to happiness... and those old fellas who are getting disappointed ...don't be... the key to be young is to feel young...in your mind and heart if you are a teen..then you are a teen.

Although Indians have limited choice compared to the West as far professions are concerned , they manage to be content and prosperous with the system they have. Most Indian youth want to get educated and progress further . Their ideals are democratic ..not too religion based .or regionally based as were their parents before them . Don't forget Internet has opened new horizons for Indian youth who genetically are endowed with a scientific and mathematical state of mind beyond any other race of youths in the world This era on internet communication and inventions is just perfect for the Indian brain. There are no limitations on the horizon for them .

indian youth is happy because for one youth also means a sort of freedom from some bindings because of the family protectiveness..and at the same time he feels secured even after grown up coz at the time of anycrisis..theres always family around.Decisions in Indian families are usually taken together so theres generally less burden.so..i wd attribute it all to our culture and familial ties.

Indian society's renaisance is what makes a part of Indian youth happy BUT, i believe its a fallacy, given the youth in rural areas: farmers as young as 28 committing suicide in AP/Maharashtra and youth in non-descript towns of Kalahari/Kolkata working in inhuman conditions apart from many other incidents that dont catch the interest of the fourth estate make me reject this survey we are talking about here

there was another survey last month which didnt put us on the happiness map. it depends on who they were talking to. If one goes by sheer numbers, i dont think Indians can be happy. there is no social security, no employment opp for everyone like the scandinavian countries or fair laws or harmony. if they are happy what are they happy about ? they have pepsi and can go to macdonalds?

Indian youth is educated, confident, self reliant. Motivated by the economic boom, supported by family background and generation of positive approach make the youth to more happier than ever. They are ready to face any challenges. Cheers, -us

You read the article incorrectly. Indians werent at the very top, if I remember correctly it was some Latin American country, prolly Argentina, Mexico or something.

anyways, imo its contentment with our lot in life alongwith the social life i.e. a family around for moral support, religion etc which keeps Indians happy.
