Terrorism, Global meltdown and NEW YEAR celebrations

Do you think that terrorism and global meltdown will dampen NEW year celebrations ?

Niceguy251 says: It will affect the common man but those who have money to burn will not be affected so badly. We may see lesser big bashes at public venues due to terrorism fear factor but private parties will go ahead.
Sumit says: Yea definitely, and the results are visible at the flight and hotel bookings for Goa this year.
Frthinking says: yes terroism and global meltdown would have a downward effect on new year celebrations

Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill, 2008, introduced this week in the Rajya Sabha, proposes that both government and private schools across the country not fail students for poor performance until they complete elementary education (class VIII), nor throw anyone out of school. Do you think that kids won't take studies seriously if there is no failure ?

Niceguy251 says:Children are overburdened these days। It is not a bad idea not to fail any youngster till he or she reaches class VIII. To implement this schools will need to gear up to make children do assignments in the classroom and little home work to ensure that whatever is taught has been assimilated.

LP says:No way. Internal assessment needed. Also, move from cramming to learning..from information memorizing to thinking and doing

NCW and Adulterous Wives

Despite vehement protests from the National Commission for Women (NCW) two years ago, the Centre is quietly going about seeking a response from each of the 30-odd state governments to the Mallimath committee's recommendation that adulterous wives be penalised. Do you think that protest from NCW over this issue is justified?

Niceguy251 says: If a man is expected to stay loyal in marriage why not a woman too?
LP says:What is the NCM stand? I go with that ....
Busybee says: Not justified.
Virtualscorpio says: no way :)

Z-class security for Politicians

Do you think that our politicians deserve for Z-class security ,if the citizens are not secure?
Kaua says: obviously not ! but the problem is that they get what they want... n anyways...they dont seem to b doing sumthing gr8 for sum anti-social element to attack them। n harm them.

Skj says: THEY DECIDE॥THEY GRAB। We the judge for those decides fail to part our duties appropriately and they keep taking advantages...

Niceguy251 says: Absolutely not। Those who demand Z class security are NO LEADERS but power hungary show offs. It would not be out of place to narrate that around 1960 or so I was on a walk along Shanti Path when my uncle told me " There goes Pt Nehru " and all I saw was lone policeman on motorcycle ahead of a car in which our then PM was going someplace.

LP says: They are Z class, not first class. they deserve what they grabbed

VS says: MY FOOT
