Financial Literacy course at school level

CBSE is planning to introduce a job-oriented course at the 10+2 level that will teach children about money management, saving insurance and the stock market.
Do you think that this move will rob children of their childhood?

i dont think so..it will gear them and utilise their time better. In anycase..theres barely any childhood left at this level..children are mainly slogging fr their exams and entrances.i prefer this to slogging anyday

No it wont. It will teach them things they need to know. But it remains to be seen as to how many will really 'learn' & 'remember'. Most of us study only to get through the exams :D. IMO this course should be added to every stream after +12

no... for what its worth this may actually be HELPFUL. See after going through this, one can actually use a lot of technical terms on their dads to help extract more allowance money... any chance I can get around..60000 bucks in advance?

now if grown ups of 10+2 level and not kids are gonna learn the ropes of business and management, i see no reason to ever blink an eye lid over it

In fact it is good for the youth to get some education in financial field.. as long as corporates or professionals with vested interest are not be allowed to infiltrate these courses in any way..

I dont think it will. children will study the subject like as any other subjects with the intention to get through. But it remains to be seen who will take up seriously for a job.It is a tender age meant only for learning, not for earning, if they do,they might get lost in the midst of so called money managers.

It helps them to manage money because this is the age they are spending a lot of money on waste things. If they know how to manage they will produce wealth from that
