Mind reading machine and Mental privacy

Scientists have developed a computerised mind-reading technique which lets them accurately predict the images that people are looking at by using scanners to study brain activity. This is the first step in developing a mind reader, which is raising ethical questions about mental privacy.Do you think that mind reading machine may change the way we live?

Busybee says: They can scan only when u allow so no Q of loss of privacy. Its a good developemnt imo, to crack crime... could become more accurate than narco analysis.. it will even help to solve psychiatric pblms...

Lp53 says: will this be available for say $30 on grocery shelves? If not, not to worry; my wife won't get it...:D

Kaua says:Thats a good step...but i dont think it will change the way we live coz as bb rightly pointed out that it wont scan unless u allow

Vamsi says: people can make an attempt to find out what mind is thinking ...
but ... mind is an ocean ... and it can never be understood in all situations ...
for some situations ... may be the device can be useful ... but not for all situations ...
nothing wrong for people in trying to understand mind !

Vs says: The very thought scares me :((

Ruggedboyz says: I really wanna see if this technology develops and takes shape for where is the cloned human where is the mind reader and where is all this big talk taking the science to and really after the computer and cell phone and the internet their has hardly been anything that has changed the way we lived and that is been for a long long time so lets see if really something comes out or this hogwash is on

Shaks says: the first point is that the mind is uncontainable and one has infinte thoughts going on in onces mind thus u cant make a machint that can read the thoughts on in your mind also if they is true it will be used judiciously for required purposes and not making it a household item for daily use
