IPL and Traditional Cricket

Do you think that the IPL(Indian Premier League), the brainchild of BCCI will get more popularity and will affect the traditional cricket?

Lionking says: this IPL is surely going to be very popular and will give another dimension to the game of cricket. the way cricket is being played, run, managed, viewed, will change dramatically ... players, support staff, sponsors, BCCI, ICC, other boards, viewers, other "stake holders" will be very much into this IPL ... and as IPL starts ... BCCI will become more rich and more careless in dealing with petty issues !

Niceguy251 says: Yes, change is the way of life. We all look for a change from routine which becomes dull after sometime. Test matches were very popular till one dayers came into being which got pushed into background by 20 - 20. So that is it.
