The Delhi high court deplored the practice of politicians moving around with gun-toting security gaurds, which has come be treated as a “status symbol” and causes inconvenience to public.A division bench headed by Justice T S Thakur said politicians were not a “national asset” that should be protected by so many security personnel.Do you agree with this statement?

101 % agreeed they have no right to enjoy the security on pubilc money in fact, these are the goons and need no prtection at all

ABSOLUTELY AGREE. It is grossly misused and public not only pays for it but is harrassed too.

Its a stark reflection of the changed times. The great Mahatama walked all over India, only in his dhoti & a stick in hand. Today, The black cats, commondos & endless chain of chamchas. A sad reflection of the transition this class of Indian society has made.

I have a better solution. Since each minister is going to be given multiple person security at each one's homes, why not pool all of them in one big house? That way we save a lot on security personnel. How abt a site on Arthur Road in Mumbai or Yerwada in Pune for starters?

this doewsnt even merit a discussion..being in power capital..it is a real pain to see these gun trotting guys every now n then..a big hindrance. and their coiterie should also be limited.
