Navarati and Women

In Navarati we worship Goddess as a source of Sakthi(Power).
Do you think that people take some lessons from this festival?

lot of hypocrisy about woman being shakti .. that's only in festivals .. reality is that "might is right " and "survival of the fittest " is what counts ..as has been shown down the ages .. agreed that women have come a long way earning repect and equality . .but if you think of this big bad world ...barring a few civilized countries... .rampant injustice against women prevails..

can we come out of classifying either of the sexes as powerful (shakti) etc either in sublime form (worship godesses) or in reality (men bashing up thier wives) a just society thrives on equality and not sublime or muscle power!

now i have never ever understood the theory of "waqt aane per aaurat kalli ka roop dharan kar sakti hai” thing coz women are mild and mostly if not for tom boys do not love indulging in voilent acts so really have less clue on this

" Haathi ke daant dighane ke aur, aur khane ke aur ". I agree with Tejbir that a just society can thrive on equality only.

People take no lessons from any festival, Rather its a matter of convenience. Such a lot was made of India having its FIRST LADY PRESIDENT. Show me one lady whose life has improved cause of this except the lady in question.
