We cannot create a parallel institution or organization by 'essemessization'. The votes on SMSs do not confer a status contrary to what UNESCO says. In matters of culture the international institution UNESCO has the last word. We have to respect the Institutions we create as such. Otherise chaos rules. The pyramids dating back to 5000 BC were given an honorary status by these pseudo-culture-vultures. I do not find any irony more than this. If you permit me to say that this whole exercise is a big 'humbug', a clever ploy to mint some easy money. The organizers must thank only the 'technology' for their 'audacity'. As for 'textbooks', it makes no difference anyway, because children/students do not remember any or all these marvels as they grow as the average memory levels fall year after year.

Why not?! There's a lot of history in every one of them. That should be good to know. I have no idea if this new list was created by a reliable official source... but let's leave that. Every outstanding piece of work or achievement from those countries mentioned deserve to be recognized, admired, and remembered. By that alone it deserves to be in books.

Ofcourse they said wud be...and why not...children shud know the wonders and why are they so??they shud knw that their ancestors were gr8 architecture....some cud be motivated and thr cud be some fiture scientists and engineers...:-)))
