not at all...gone are the days that real life incidents are supported by reel life...maybe a small fraction of rural teens to the extent of copying the looks and all...otherwise..we are intoa diff time....lot of awareness in today's time..gone is the era of make belief and imaginations...real life has a lot of drama on the contrary

You never see that hilarious voilence in real life where the hero has killed each and every associate of the villain maybe with a dozen bullets in his own body but still lives to show a smiling face at The End. The Character might have some impact on some blind followers but sheer voilence definitely not.

(Mahabharat is pretty graphic in the description of violence - beheading, dismembering, tearing someone's chest apart to drink his blood... So on, so forth) Ditto for Ramayana, and other religious texts (even the Bible). Violence is a part of human nature. Always been there, always will be. TV or no TV. However, TV does influence children. So, parents should be careful about what they let their kids watch.

If its adults who are viewing, then the answer is NO. But the kids do get influenced to some extent. In my opinion, the Cartoon channels are the worst offenders. They show blood and gore, revenge, violence, etc all in the garb or animated cartoons. For kids, these animated figures maybe no different from 'live' charecters and they replicate the same on their siblings or schoolmates
