Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill, 2008, introduced this week in the Rajya Sabha, proposes that both government and private schools across the country not fail students for poor performance until they complete elementary education (class VIII), nor throw anyone out of school. Do you think that kids won't take studies seriously if there is no failure ?

Niceguy251 says:Children are overburdened these days। It is not a bad idea not to fail any youngster till he or she reaches class VIII. To implement this schools will need to gear up to make children do assignments in the classroom and little home work to ensure that whatever is taught has been assimilated.

LP says:No way. Internal assessment needed. Also, move from cramming to learning..from information memorizing to thinking and doing

I know, wrong blog, but i'm mad as hell.
itimes networking is total crap site. i created an account and wanted to delete after 10 mins only. why? unlike Facebook this one imposes everything from a daily email to x, y, z, applications that will send notifications to your email. Yes, you can edit it all out in settings, but by the time you do so, your email is full of crap and tons of third parties have your email. If that want bad enough, unlike other networking sites, this does not give a clear indication on how to delete the damn account. i have clicked on every link, and dropped email to their team a few times. still no reply, but the spam keeps on coming. stay away from this nonsense.
