well every things has pros and cons .. I am sure ppl used internet for browsing sex sites .. but then look at the number of ppl who are using it for constructive reasons ... i believe it should be allowed more in public ... ppl will find better use of it... revolution takes time .. initially its looked upon low....

Yes it is safe ..why do you ask that ? from what point of view ? Oh so kids shouldnt get a hold of it ..and no supervision ..but the good points of the web outweigh the few undesirable ...so yes they are safe and should be made available ..people depend on it ..

Oh yeah, it is.. safe for the youngsters who want to browse thru censored sites.. which they cant do at home ;) Seriously.. today there is a rule that no cyber cafe can have closed cabins. All monitors should be visible from outside the cubicles. But if you are talking of other security stuff... never download material to ur CD or floppy in a cyber cafe.. they hardly ever have anti-virus sw loaded.

as a matter of fact, 90 % of these round the corner cyber cafe has trojans n sniffers installed all over them , that will easily compromise ur privacy. These shop owners know nothing bout computers, let alone expecting them to make them secure on the net. but then what makes u think net at ur home is safe !!!!?? u hve to make it safe. and hope that ur ISP has taken all precautions to do so too (which again is not true in many cases) (

i think surfing in public could be dangerous if one uses details like credit card numbers, telephone numbers, e-mail passwords and other such #s in a cyber cafe as it could turn out that such details are retrievable but with prices of PCs having fallen to their lowest and being affordable by many public surfing itself may soon get extinct

Its ok to check public sites in public places, but not personal things like email, work website or personal banking website.
