Pub Culture and Young Generation

Do you think that the pub culture is destroying our young generation ?

Basically onus of young generation being aware of what is right and wrong is squarly on parents, elders of family and teachers, not by fear of punishment but right advice intimating pros & cons of everything. And youngsters can go astray in strickest of societies too.

GOVT. SHOULD PUBLISH RELEVENT FACTS REGULARLY.ALSO EXICSE DUTY ON ALCHOL SHOULD BE TRANSFERED TO CENTRE.STATES PROMOTE ALCHOL FOR TAX WHICH IS WRONG

Oscar awards and Amitabh Bachchan

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday said Oscar awards should not be considered as the "ultimate recognition" for artists. Do you agree with him?

B K chowla says: Yes , I agree with AB।Indian film industry is too big to worry about oscar.We seem to be bitten by the foreign bug.

Niceguy251 says: There are so many awards in India now that I have lost count. In olden days it was Filmfare award and it really was something to look forward to. Oscars have worldwide fame and acceptance. So it does matter for anyone to win an Oscar. Slumdog Millionaire is basically not an Indian movie but produced based on India. If AR Rehman wins, we can say that an Indian has won Oscar.

Next PM of INDIA

Who you wish to be next PM of India? Dr। Manmohan Singh, L। K. Advani or others?
B K chowla says:Iwould wish to have a PM who can take the country with him.Dr Singh is ,no doubt, a clean man but he does'nt give the impression that he is "Independent".LK Advani is too old to lead the country.I would like to see a person like Narendera Modi taking on higher responsibility.He may have slight dictatorial tendencies, but then each one has some weak points.

LP says: Neither.. We, the citizens should demand that all partis, especially, Congress and BJP should hold intra-party elections supervised by CECs, by secret one member one vote basis. Then the party convention shouldendorse the secret ballot.

Satyam and Moral Hazard

Do you think the scam will seriously affect India's image abroad? Do you think if Government rescue Satyam the moral hazard of frauding a company will exist?

LP says: No, no, no॥ After Enron, World।com and recent wall street busts, Corporate America lives..so would our image after this and other scams of the past

B K chowla says: I don't think so.There are crooks everywhere in the world.PwC as auditors may have something to explain.Govt here has acted fast enough,that will go in our favour.India will go on.

Mumbai attack and US

US wants 26/11 suspects tried in Pak .Should we depend on other nations on this issue?

LP says:No, we should not depend on other nations. However, we should forge an alliance of willing nations. This 'international community' is our back-up when we fight the terror, with every options and means at our disposal including all-out war against nations that harbour them. B K chowla says: Neither us,nor any other country shpuld depend on any other country.Ultimately,It is battle..or is it war...that we have to fight on our own.Each one,be it US,UK,RUSSIA,CHINA or anyone else,each has different problems and priorities.An example being, US wants us to sit and sort out our problems with Pak.But, goes all out to allow Israel to bomb Gaza.It is not double standards,it is need based understanding.Everybody for himself and God for everybody.
