VS says: yes of course, & not only development but so many other factors too. the politics & the politicians.
Busybee says: Of course !
Niceguy251 say: Is there any doubt? It is not just politics but vested petty interests of politicians.
NaveenKumar says: No doubt about that. To be precise, filthy politicians are responsible for this.
Mads says: Not really. Infact development is standing between the politics.

Economic slowdown and Campus recruitments
Do you think that the economic slowdown is going to impact education, especially campus recruitments?
Niceguy251 says: In corporate all depends on BOTTOM LINE। So it is but natural that economic slow down will affect recruitments and campus ones will be the first ones to suffer as the focus will be on proven persons. Education? Not very directly but in a roundabout way.
Lostpatrol says: The impact will be on career choices with engineering and scientific education gaining prominence over finance and management in the short term. Campus employmnet fairs will see lesser companies this semester/year

Ganga as a National Heritage
Busybee says: for that one has to just look at all the other national heritages॥ How r u going to prevent ppl from immersing all that they want, into this river ?
BK Chowla said... In India whatever happens, has a political and corruptin angle to it.You can do what you want.Ganga will not get cleaned so long as the State has budget to clean Ganga and there is no accountability for the money actually spent every byear in cleaning Ganga.Clean these politicians first.CHANGE INDIA...INDIA OF टुमॉरो
Niceguy251 says: Mere lip service will never do any good। Why does not Baba Ram Dev start Gaga purifying project instead of just preaching? We should consider ALL RIVERS, LAKES, MOUNTAINS & HILLS, SEAS & BEACHES, FORESTS as our Heritage as treat them like that.
Frthinking says:DECLARING GANGA AS NATIONAL HERITAGE ALONE WOULD NOT MAKE IT POLLUTION FREE।THOUGH IT MAY DRAW ATTENTION TOWADS ITS POLLUTION MUCH MORE. BUT STILLTHERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY HARM IN DECLARING IT AS NATIONAL HERITAGE.PERHAPS GOVT.MAY GIVE MORE ATTENTION TOWARDS IT
LP says: May be Ganges should be sold to individuals who would commercialize it and keep it clean and unpolluted....
