Should action be taken against a couple for kissing/hugging in a public place?

You cannot impose a universal rule that kissing and hugging in public in illegal! can u?? Anything that is obscene and vulgur should not be a part of the public display scheme!! Had it been in France or any other Nation where these things are acceptable, there would have been no issues at all. It is India, couples should understand the culture and social acceptability norms. Imposing bans does not serve any purpose according to me. Arn't we living in a civilized world?? Don't we understand what should be done and what not?? Self regulation is yhe key word. And what's gonna come next?? Ban on children shouting at their parents? ban on children not insulting their teachers? Ban on wot all..................................... oops, too long a comment?? :)

I dont think kissing or hugging in public is vulgar.. its just a moment of affection.... Yes as long as no nudity is there...display of affection just by huging or a kiss should not be banned... If ppl can hold hands in public ..why cant they hug in public????

Well.. I'd take the middle road here... If its just a decent peck, its ok.. and of course, it just cant be in the middle of the road with a million ppl watching.. if its in a quiet park(which IS a public place).. then wats the issue.. or do we expect a couple to kiss only within the confines of their bedrooms? Oh, how boring that would be!! :-(

This question is a slippery one ! It ALL depends .It does draw attention from the public , especially when the rich , young folk ( this means the goras and then the page 3 people ) are doing it .Little children will have a field day .. Ideally should be done in the privacy of home or car ... he he ... If it is a gay couple , then more museebat ! No legal action need be taken but some dirty looks can be given in the couple's direction . If they are shameless , they will continue , I guess .That's the best that can be done at this point . :)

Is a sense of propriety or consideration and respect for other people's sensibilities no longer acceptable in our time? I think that there is a right time and place for everything. Since a blatant display of 'affection' in public may offend some people, perhaps this could serve as a guide - "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Meaning, know where you are. If you're in Italy where the Italians make no fuss about public show of affection, I guess you'd be in good company. lolz But if you were in a conservative country or culture, it would be wise to put your best conservative foot forward. And that includes manners, too. :-)

though it should not be illegal, but i think that the people themselves have to be conscious of the fact that such display remains within the limit of decency....
