Swami Ramdev and Bharat Ratna

Do you think that Swami Ramdev should be given the Bharat Ratna?

I admire his contribution in awakening the people and spreading the core essence of Yoga, but still IMO, that will be too early to confer the award upon him.

Swami Ramdev is to Yoga what Osho Rajneesh was to Gurudom in the good old days. The best yoga Teacher who recognized the mass frenzy and suceeded in diverting the eyes of the 'saas bahu glued obese grihinis' to many of his difficult poses. I can still see the bald headed men sitting on benches in parks, in buses rubbing their finger nails, in the hope that the 'rub-bish' generates hair on their heads. It is true he has made YOGA a household name and there is no denying the fact. But at the same time also built an empire by way of building ashrams and selling the (bone powder--I do not belong to Brinda Karat Group) alleged medicines. His nomination to "Bharat Ratna" surely connected to how good he is in the books of the political parties that may or that is in power. I like his preachings on 'swadeshi'. But I dont like his stressing of the point as if forcing his opinions on others. Just for the service of "YOGA", Swami Ram Dev does not deserve "Bharat Ratna". The proposal itself sounds lopsided. On second thoughts he will definitely be conferred Bharat Ratna if he were to get Nobel Peace Prize. I write this while performing 'seershasana'. ha ha ha ha

Swami Ramdev, In recognition of your efforts to promote health and enrich yourself and the nation, I, in my capacity as the PM, have asked HE the President of O3India to confer upon you O3Bharat Ratna. Kindly make sure that you double your efforts from now, not only at your ashrams and satellite channels, but in nooks and corners of the country...

of swamy sir true he is one respected and one who has tremndous following but his contribution to socety as a whole and his efforts go under which category of the Ratna shall be interesting to know

Bharat Ratna to swami ramdev...well..hmmm too early and also he got to clear the controversies about him,...which ofcoz has been created by the silly commies....still wud be great if he comes out clean.

Yes, he should be given. I saw many people who got benifited from his practices, he popularised it. All people got benifited from him irrespective or age. IT worked for many, thats the reason it got more popularised just not becoz it was advertised. Before him 100's came why did not they made what he did?

I do not think Swami Ramdev should be given any Ratna. He is beyond any prize. He does not need any motivation with a prize.

i guess yesshe deserves one, he can put to shame the hrithiik and the khans, its his mania right now..............all over, right from bhagalpur to bangalore, its no surprise to see people rubbing their finger in anticipation of long black hair or trying to summersault their intenstines inside th tummy a la baba style, he surely is an asset...................

Probably the whole thing is getting commercerlized. Yes, people have benifited, & as many have gone home disappointed with the claims. So a question mark still remains.
